Patricia Ann Cargill Charities named beneficiary for PGA tournament and Father’s Day 5K

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Akron, Ohio – April 28, 2025 — Patricia Ann Cargill Charities (PACCOhio.org) a nonprofit committed to providing high-quality, nutritious food and community resources to families across Northeast Ohio, is proud to announce its selection as an official participating charity in the prestigious Kaulig Companies Championship Chip in Fore Charity fundraising program, presented by Fastenal Company. PACC works to break the cycles of hunger by strengthening local hunger relief systems and stabilizing families in need.

As part of the program, PACC is now featured on the Chip in Fore Charity donation platform, where supporters can make direct contributions to help expand the charity’s mission. Every donation made through the program prior to June 22, 2025, goes even further, with bonus funds provided to amplify donor impact.

Adding to the excitement, PACC has also been named a beneficiary of the BK5K Father’s Day Run/Walk, hosted at Firestone Country Club on June 15, 2025. Runners and walkers participating in the BK5K will have the option to direct their registration fees to the charity of their choice — including Patricia Ann Cargill Charities — providing another meaningful way for the community to show support.

This year, Patricia Ann Cargill Charities will be proudly represented at the BK5K by a team of veteran walkers, led by Executive Director Donte Cargill. A United States Army veteran who served honorably from 2003 to 2006 following the 9/11 attacks, Cargill continues to embody the Army values of leadership, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. The team’s participation reflects PACC’s ongoing commitment to building strong communities and honoring those who have served.

The BK5K is held in honor of Bob Kierlin, founder of Fastenal Company and a lifelong philanthropist dedicated to youth and community causes around the world. This year’s race at Firestone Country Club promises to be one of the premier stops on the global BK5K tour.

Participation in these events not only helps raise crucial funds but also increases awareness about the impactful work Patricia Ann Cargill Charities does year-round.
